I Help Teens Build Confidence, Emotional Resilience, and Leadership Through Engaging Talks & Interactive Challenges.

_

Welcome!

I am Mike Fana Suarez—a motivational speaker, author, and coach.
Since 2012, I've utilized stories, poetry, literature, and a 21-day challenge to help students build real confidence not just in school but in life.

Who is this for?

For students, professionals, and parents who want a simple, emotionally intelligent way to build confidence in school, work, and everyday life.

How long is it?

30-45 minutes (adaptable to audience and setting)

My purpose

Anatolia, Turkey was the first place where humans crafted mirrors 8,000 years ago.

My purpose is simple: to inspire students to look into their own mirror — with confidence — and recognize the incalculable power already living inside their hearts.

Because when a student truly sees their worth, everything changes.

My 4 principles

Focus on what truly matters!

Choose conversations that build, not drain!

Understand and manage emotions!

Make decisions that move you forward!

The Workshop

I always tell students that story they allow to tell themselves is a big indicator of where they end up in life.

My Story....

I was born in Santo Domingo and immigrated to the United States as a child, growing up in Lynn, Massachusetts. Caught between feeling lost and full of possibility, I quickly learned that every decision carried weight. My mother instilled in me a simple but powerful truth: confidence begins in the mirror. That lesson became the foundation of my work with students today.

Formal Education

I graduated from Lynn Classical High School before being accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I studied Music Business Management—an experience that shaped both my creative thinking and my understanding of communication.

Why I do it

After Berklee, I spent over a decade working in finance. While the work was valuable, something always felt missing. No matter what I achieved professionally, there was a quiet pull toward more meaningful work.

After auditioning for America’s Got Talent in Los Angeles, I was invited to speak with a group of incarcerated teens in Orlando about making better decisions. That experience changed everything. For the first time, my work felt fully aligned with who I am.

Since then, I’ve traveled across the country helping students learn how to focus, strengthen their internal conversations, and manage their emotions—so they can make confident decisions both in and beyond the classroom.

DYK?

According to the APA, a growing number of students report low self-esteem and poor perceptions of their own competence.
